Join us for an extraordinary evening at Alnoba when the dancers of Ballet Misha perform in, on and around pieces from our renowned outdoor sculpture collection.
You’ll enjoy a self-guided tour of the Alnoba grounds as you encounter professional dancers interacting with the red lobster rope folds of Orly Genger’s Going, Going, Gone, the playful angles of Beezy Bailey’s 1000 Year Dance Cure, or the geometric elegance of Dewitt Godfrey’s Up and Away – and more.
This event sold out in a matter of days last year! We are pleased to bring it back to Alnoba for another one-night-only engagement this summer.

Join Dancers from Ballet Misha at the John Hay Estate at the Fells for a unique afternoon of sculpture and dance on Sunday, September 18th from 1-3pm.
Reflecting this summer’s sculpture theme of Stillness and Motion, dancers from the professional dance company Ballet Misha (of Manchester) will return to the John Hay Estate at The Fells this summer to perform an exploratory collaboration between sculpture and dance. Visitors follow a self-guided tour of the grounds where they will see dancers performing improvisational dance inspired by the sculptures. Dancers will interact with the sculptures, exploring the dynamics of stillness and motion. Several of the sculptors and gallery artists will be present to discuss their work. Guests can move through the exhibits at their leisure to see the dancers, sculptures and art, and meet the artists. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the garden, on the veranda, or in the pavilion.
Members: free, Non-Members: included in regular admission fee.
